Energy Upgrade California is an exciting new statewide program that helps property owners improve the energy efficiency of their buildings and puts local construction workers back to work. In Contra Costa County, the program provides rebates directly to the property owner for completing an Energy Upgrade retrofit.  The Statewide website can provide you with links to local contractors and incentives.

Contra Costa County is offering ADDITIONAL rebates up to $5,000 for completed Energy Upgrade retrofit projects. Projects must result in a minimum of 20% energy savings. The County will rebate 20% of project costs for upgrades valued at $10,000 or less. Projects with a valuation greater than $10,000 are eligible for a 25% rebate up to $5,000.  Property owners of single-family homes (either renter or owner occupied) are eligible for the program.

Contra Costa County is aligning their rebate program with PG&E's Advaced retrofit program to provide significant savings to property owners.  PG&E is offering incentives ranging from $2,000 to $4,000 for Energy Upgrade retrofit projects resulting in at least 20% energy savings. PG&E also offers a Basic program that provides a $1,000 rebate for a simple Energy Upgrade project.

BPI Training Session

The next BPI Building Analyst training in Pittsburg will be held June 13 – 17th at the Boys and Girls Club, 1001 Stoneman Avenue, Pittsburg, CA 94565.
